grief
loadingThe permissions grief asks for, the ones it actually uses, and the role hierarchy trap.
You need Manage Server on the server to invite grief, and Administrator (or the permissions below) for every system in this guide to work. grief asks for Administrator at invite time because a bot cannot create the jail, ticket and voice categories without it.
If you would rather grant permissions by hand, the calculator below asks for only what the systems you tick actually use — Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Kick Members, Ban Members, Moderate Members, Manage Messages, Manage Webhooks, Read Message History, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions, Use External Emojis, Connect and Speak, with Move Members and Deafen Members added by VoiceMaster.
Permission calculator. Tick the systems you actually run and the box builds the invite for you — the number and the URL are both copyable.
275683601638After inviting, drag the grief role above the roles it hands out (muted, jail, level rewards). Discord will not let a bot manage a role that sits above its own.
One more thing that trips people up: Discord only lets a bot manage roles that sit below its own highest role. Drag the grief role above the roles it hands out (muted, jail, level rewards) before configuring anything.
